Account Executive Responsibilities 

  • Drive media results through outreach and creative story ideation 
  • Produce written content (bylines, blogs, etc.)
  • Assist in the management of results reporting (via trackers and coverage reports) 
  • Source and support execution of client speaking engagements, awards, etc.
  • Conduct industry, competitor and client research 
  • Prepare materials to prep spokespeople for press opportunities and participate in prep calls 
  • Manage the creation of media lists, trackers, prep materials and other materials 
  • Play an active role in managing fellow work across teams

Account Executive Skills & Qualifications 

  • 1-2 years of PR agency experience 
  • Bachelor’s degree in PR, communications, journalism or similar focus
  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects
  • A creative mindset
  • Brilliant writing skills 
  • Self-starter with strong work ethic 
  • Proficiency in media reporting tools i.e. Cision, MuckRack, etc.

Compensation decisions are determined using a variety of factors such as skill set, experience, and education or certifications. If we extend an offer for employment, we will consider all individual qualifications. Salary ranges for this position are between $70,000 and $80,000 annually. SBS also offers additional compensation programs such as annual cash bonuses and generous benefits.
