Greydale Africa is seeking an exceptional Account Manager with experience in public relations and events management, based in Kenya and supporting clients across East Africa.
The ideal candidate will bring strong PR expertise, including media relations, and the ability to write compelling communications materials. They will combine creativity and storytelling with social media proficiency, hands-on experience delivering events, strong problem-solving skills in fast-paced environments, and the ability to develop and execute impactful PR and event strategies.
Develop and implement strategic communications plans aligned to client objectives
Create compelling campaign concepts and outreach strategies grounded in creative storytelling that result in credible, newsworthy coverage
Translate complex ideas and objectives into clear, engaging narratives for senior, professional, and stakeholder audiences
Apply a working knowledge of media relations to identify appropriate media opportunities and support coverage where relevant
Build and maintain strong working relationships with relevant media, bloggers, and industry platforms to secure quality coverage
Collaborate closely with digital teams to amplify key messages and event narratives across appropriate channels
Write and oversee the production of high-quality communications materials, including press releases, messaging frameworks, briefs, speeches, reports, blog content, and client correspondence
Apply creative thinking and storytelling across PR, content, and event experiences to ensure consistency and impact
Contribute to the development and execution of integrated social media marketing plans that support PR, events, and storytelling objectives
Design and deliver integrated PR, communications, and event strategies that support broader engagement and lead-generation goals
Plan and manage strategic events such as executive roundtables, stakeholder forums, conferences, and client engagements
Design events to attract relevant, high-quality audiences and deliver meaningful experiences rather than mass attendance
Work with telemarketing and outreach teams to ensure client events and communications effectively support lead generation and follow-up
Manage suppliers, venues, and external partners to ensure professional and seamless event execution
Track performance against agreed objectives and deliver clear, insight-led reporting and recommendations
Act as the primary point of contact and strategic lead for assigned client accounts
Bachelorโs degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field
5+ yearsโ post-college experience in PR, communications, events coordination, or account management roles
Proven experience developing and delivering integrated communications and event strategies
Strong creative storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex ideas into clear, compelling narratives
Excellent writing and editing skills across professional communications materials
Working knowledge of media relations, including identifying relevant media opportunities and supporting coverage
Hands-on experience planning and delivering professional, high-level events
Solid understanding of social media as a communications and amplification tool
Strong strategic thinking, planning, and problem-solving skills
Excellent client-facing communication, presentation, and stakeholder-management abilities
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
