In this role, the Communications Coordinator will support agency efforts by highlighting our work and mission across the community. The Communications Coordinator will also support internal collaboration to ensure information is presented consistently, playing a critical part in the work and dedication of Community Action Partnership of Orange County’s initiatives. Under the direct supervision of the Communications Manager, you will work closely with various departments to bolster donations, awareness, and support of agency initiatives by staying informed on agency programs, news, and events to ensure timely updates with our community. Success in this role will be demonstrated by effectively delivering CAP OC’s mission and messaging.
The hourly pay rate is $23.00 - $24.00.
The work schedule is a hybrid schedule – 4-days in the office and 1-day remote. Hybrid schedules are subject to change based on program needs and/or departmental manager’s discretion.
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field.
Must possess a valid California Driver’s License with a driving record that meets minimum standards established by CAP OC’s insurance carrier, proof of vehicle insurance, access to a vehicle and willingness to drive/travel when required.
Typically, travel is required throughout Orange County, and occasionally to other areas as needed, during the business day using the incumbent’s personal vehicle. Possible travel during evening hours, possible out-of-the-area and overnight travel.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to bend, stoop, reach, pull, push, stand, kneel, sit, twist, turn, walk, bend at the waist, talk, and hear. Vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, ability to adjust focus, and perform prolonged computer work. The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects up to twenty (20) pounds. Employee may be called upon to work outdoors in varying temperatures and weather conditions.
