Communications Lead Consultant
Rate: $55β$60/hr | W2 Employment | 6-month contract with strong possibility of extension
Del Oro Consulting,
a national consulting solutions provider with over 20 years of experience
supporting global technology leaders, is seeking a Communications Lead Consultant to support our enterprise
technology client. This role requires a strategic communications leader with a
strong, confident voice who can set the narrative, influence cross-functional
stakeholders, and guide messaging at the program level while remaining hands-on
in developing assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the overall
communications strategy for the program, shaping the narrative and
establishing a clear, consistent message across teams.
- Serve as the primary voice
behind program messaging, ensuring communications are aligned, compelling,
and easy to understand.
- Develop messaging frameworks,
communications plans, executive-ready narratives, stakeholder maps, and
structured content toolkits.
- Create and refine assets such
as pitch decks, program overviews, field-facing enablement materials, and
branded collateral.
- Partner closely with Sales,
Product, Change, and Learning teams to drive alignment and influence
decisions around communication timing, channels, and storytelling.
- Confidently navigate strong
personalities and competing priorities, maintaining clarity and ensuring
the programβs message stays intact.
- Connect the dots across
workstreams and provide leadership with a cohesive, integrated view of the
broader campaign.
- Apply brand guidelines and
collaborate with design resources to ensure materials are polished,
cohesive, and high quality.
- Support video-related
messaging needs (e.g., hype VOD content), helping shape key points and
narrative direction.
- Operate independently,
bringing structure to ambiguity and proactively advancing work without
heavy oversight.
Qualifications
- Min 5-7 years in
communications, product marketing, sales enablement, or program
communications.
- Proven experience as a
strategic communicator who can both set the direction and execute
deliverables.
- Strong writer and storyteller
with a confident communication style and the ability to influence
stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience working with
Sales, Product, or similarly complex environments with strong
personalities and competing priorities.
- Skilled at managing multiple
stakeholders, aligning viewpoints, and handling friction or pushback
professionally.
- Highly organized with
experience building and maintaining communications calendars, matrices,
trackers, and structured plans.
- Familiarity with branding,
asset packaging, and collaborating with design teams.
- Experience supporting
messaging for short promotional or momentum-building videos.
