Communications plays a critical role in enhancing Gracenote’s reputation by articulating compelling narratives focused on the modern entertainment experience and how we fuel it. This role is responsible for cultivating meaningful relationships with key journalists, securing earned articles for product and business announcements and proactively placing strategic stories that underscore Gracenote’s innovation narratives that reach target audiences. This role will also manage executive speakerships and awards programs, contributing to thought-leadership and content marketing initiatives.

Responsibilities
Establish and enhance Gracenote’s reputation as a global leader in entertainment data and technology among key audiences
Collaborate closely with Gracenote Marketing and Content teams to achieve Marcomm goals
Liaise with stakeholders across the business and in different geographies to understand emerging industry trends
Develop compelling story angles and new data-driven insights that resonate with and engage target client segments
Cultivate relationships with target reporters, editors, analysts, conference organizers and programmers to maintain open lines of communication and develop engagement strategies to educate them on Gracenote
Manage awards and earned speaking program including identifying appropriate opportunities, managing deadlines and developing abstracts
Build and manage master media and analyst lists and editorial calendars
Develop media pitches and support proactive outreach and manage inbound media requests
Draft comms plans, press releases, coverage reports, messaging documents and briefing books
Track key metrics for reporting
Support the development of byline articles, insights pieces, blog posts and social media content for earned, paid and owned media
Drive social engagement for Gracenote’s LinkedIn and manage employee social media enablement playbooks
Provide tactical support for the advancement of new content initiatives such as executive interviews, videos, podcasts, data visualizations as aligned with the overarching content strategy
5+ years of Communications experience working in-house in a global media/technology company or PR agency
Strong understanding of and passion for entertainment including content, user experience, engagement, advertising and monetization
Exceptional written and oral communication capabilities
Outstanding project management, organizational and time management skills
Results oriented and metrics-focused mindset
Ability to craft and deliver compelling narratives that help meet company objectives
Motivated self-starter with ability/confidence to work both independently, and as part of a team
Proven ability to manage multiple projects, programs and priorities in a fast paced, dynamic environment
Ability to tap all available resources to conduct research, make contacts and develop relationships
Experience with Cision, PR Newswire, Google Analytics and other Communications-function specific tools
Have a roll up your sleeves and get it done attitude – it is not enough to have great ideas, you must be able to get stuff done
