Internal Communications
Amazon is seeking a creative, self-motivated, and analytical internal communications specialist to join our LATAM Operations Internal Communications team. The successful candidate will develop and implement functional communication and engagement campaigns that convey compelling stories across our Brazil and Mexico Operations network.
As an internal communications specialist, you will:
- Engage with internal stakeholders to uncover stories highlighting Amazon Operations as a desirable workplace and employer of choice
- Develop communication strategies across multiple internal channels, showcasing the impact of our Operations within the ecosystem and communities served
- Measure and enhance the quality of our communications outreach to Operations associates
- Oversee agencies delivering high-quality print, digital, and video production for internal communication initiatives
- Develop creative, data-driven internal communications with clear, measurable outcomes
- Generate ideas and build scalable mechanisms with a strong sense of accountability and focus on delivering a positive employee experience
Key job responsibilities
- Providing strategic communications counsel and collaborating with key stakeholders to develop and implement effective communication plans for Amazon Operations in Brazil and Mexico
- Establishing stakeholder relationships to understand business needs, ensure editorial calendar relevance, as well as proactively identify and address emerging topics
- Managing internal communication channels and programs, monitoring metrics and implementing data-driven improvements
- Partnering with global communications teams to curate and localize worldwide content considering local relevance and cultural fit
- Collaborating with agencies to ensure high quality local content production in Brazil and Mexico, while preserving consistency in voice, message, and look and feel
- Enhancing operational efficiency between Brazil and Mexico teams, by promoting standardized best practices and processes across LATAM
- Being hands-on and adaptable, even when tasks fall outside the typical scope
- Continuously identifying opportunities to Invent and Simplify, creating scalable mechanisms and consistent employee experience
- Navigating a complex organizational structure and influencing stakeholders with competing priorities
- Serving as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert for Operations Internal Communications leads
- 5+ years of recent professional communications or public relations experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Exemplary written and oral communication skills in English, Portuguese and Spanish
- Postgraduate degree in Communications is preferred
- Strong background in partnering with communication agencies and multiple stakeholders
- Prior experience with operations internal communications is an advantage
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
