Position Function and Duties

About the Role

Are you a digital storyteller with a passion for public service? Do you thrive at the intersection of strategy, creativity, and technology? We’re looking for a Digital Communications Strategist to lead the charge in crafting engaging online content that informs, educates, and inspires our community.

In this role, you’ll be the voice behind our digital presence—managing our website, social media platforms, and multimedia content to ensure our services are accessible, compelling, and community-focused.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and execute digital content strategies across web and social platforms
  • Maintain and enhance the office’s website for clarity, accessibility, and user experience
  • Create engaging posts, graphics, and videos that highlight our services and impact
  • Monitor analytics and trends to optimize content performance
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather stories, updates, and service information
  • Ensure all digital communications align with our mission and brand voice

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in digital communications, content creation, or social media management
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills
  • Familiarity with CMS platforms, SEO, and accessibility standards
  • Proficiency in design and multimedia tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite)
  • Ability to translate complex information into clear, engaging content
  • A proactive mindset and collaborative spirit

   Education & Professional Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Digital Media, Marketing, Social Media, Website Design or a related field, or four years of relevant work experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position
  • An additional four or more years of experience in digital communications, social media management, or website content management required
  • Short-form video creation/editing experience (Reels, Shorts, or similar) preferred
