Job Title: Director of Government Relations and Business Development

Base Salary: $175,000 -$190,000 (plus eligibility for commission)

Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic Director of Government Relations and Business Development to lead strategic growth initiatives and build high-impact relationships across the federal government. This role combines high-level government engagement, deep knowledge of the federal acquisition landscape, and proven business development experience within the technology and identity management sectors.
The ideal candidate will drive adoption of UberEther’s IAM platform within federal agencies by understanding policy, navigating government procurement channels, and aligning solutions to agency mission priorities. This person is policy aware while still entrepreneurial at heart.
Key Responsibilities
Government Relations
- Cultivate and manage trusted relationships with key federal stakeholders (civilian, defense, intel).
- Monitor, analyze, and influence relevant legislation, executive orders, and policy initiatives affecting cybersecurity and IAM procurement.
- Serve as a strategic advisor internally on regulatory, compliance, and acquisition trends impacting government IT modernization.
Business Development
- Lead end-to-end pursuit of new business opportunities with federal agencies, including pipeline development, capture strategy, and proposal coordination.
- Identify and engage decision-makers, technical evaluators, and procurement personnel to position UberEther's IAM solutions.
- Work closely with the product team to translate customer needs into technical requirements and market feedback.
Capture & Sales Enablement
- Build and execute strategic capture plans for high-value pursuits (GSA, GWACs, IDIQs, SLED).
- Collaborate with proposal managers and sales engineers to develop compelling RFI/RFP responses.
- Maintain a deep understanding of UberEther's IAM offerings and position them effectively against competing technologies.
Qualifications
Required:
- 6+ years in federal business development, sales, or government affairs, preferably with experience in cybersecurity, IAM, or enterprise SaaS.
- Demonstrated success in driving 7-figure deals and building strategic relationships within the public sector.
- Familiarity with government procurement vehicles (GSA Schedule, SEWP, CIO-SP3, etc.) and FAR/DFARS regulations.
- Strong understanding of federal mandates
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with experience engaging executive and senior government leaders.
Preferred:
- Existing network within agencies such as DHS, DoD, VA, or IC.
- Experience with identity platforms such as ForgeRock, Okta, Ping, or custom IAM deployments.
- Active or prior U.S. security clearance.
