Description

The Director Investor Relations is responsible for producing the relevant presentations and analysis to routinely share results with internal and external stakeholders. This includes regular communication with both current and prospective investors and Ratings Agencies, determining communication strategy to external stakeholders, setting the company’s conference schedule and building an investor and ratings agency development plan, all aimed at driving shareholder value. Timely communication with these parties is a requirement and must be recognized as the key company contact for financial stakeholders.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the preparation of quarterly and annual investor materials including IR presentations, earnings scripts, Q&A preparation and timely investor communication; partnering with internal legal counsel to ensure materials meet external reporting compliance standards.
  • Single point of contact for external investors, establishing follow-up meetings and responding in partnership with management to post earnings call questions.
  • Coordinates the review of quarterly materials with the CEO, CFO, Chief Strategy Officer and SVP FP&A, working through updates and aligning on key themes, clearly articulating the major operational storylines.
  • Works across operational and financial teams to produce key bridges and analysis to support earnings script statements and prepares management for earnings calls.
  • Owns marketing the company with traditional Sell Side, current and prospective investors and debt markets including, but not limited to, determining which industry conferences to attend and how to engage.
  • Builds development plans for each targeted Sell Side, investor, rating agency and/or debt firm to be executed by deploying the CEO and CFO, as well as other executives.
  • Analyze financial results, industry trends, and peer performance to inform messaging and strategy.
  • Support financial modeling and valuation analysis to assess company performance and market positioning.
  • Ensure all investor communications comply with SEC regulations and disclosure requirements.
  • Works directly with company Treasurer, CFO and CEO to drive Ratings Agency strategy, interactions and communications.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and/or abilities required.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills
• Excellent analysis and problem-solving skills
• Extremely proficiency with Budgeting Reporting tools and Microsoft Excel, including data refining organization, pivot tables, and advanced techniques

• Must be able to articulate and present ideas in a clear, concise, and influential manner
• Strong communication skills among team and senior leadership
• Knowledge of tools and processes to share information with investor or other stakeholders


Education/Experience
• Bachelor's Degree from four-year college or university required
• 8+ years of related experience
• Experience in Corporate Finance roles including the preparation of board decks and investor materials
• Investment banking experience including participation in M&A, diligence processes preferred but not required
• CFA preferred
