Job Description:

   

We are seeking a proven, action-oriented individual to join our Executive Communications team that supports the HPE Hybrid Cloud business group and the Office of the Chief Technology Officer (CTO). This is an exciting opportunity to join HPE’s world-class global communications team. With more than 100 communicators across the globe, we advocate for HPE’s corporate strategy, business innovation, and thought leadership. We are responsible for enhancing HPE’s culture and reputation, showcasing our innovation and leadership, and driving business outcomes.

This is a US based role. Must be able to work Central Time Zone. Option for telework.

How you’ll make your mark:

As an Executive Communications Specialist for Hybrid Cloud & CTO Executive Communications you will partner with the team to help drive the company’s cloud and technology narratives internally and externally. This is an important role at a key moment in the company’s transformation and requires a collaborative professional with executive presence to assist with implementing and measuring sustained 360 communications programs for the Hybrid Cloud business group and the Office of the CTO, led by Fidelma Russo.

Responsibilities:

  • Help develop, implement and evaluate team member communications strategies and programs to drive desired behavior and results.
  • Understand the communications needs of various internal and external audiences and assist with crafting messages that are impactful and lead to desired outcomes.
  • Support cross team efforts like communications measurement and benchmarking.
  • Assist with coordination and logistics of internal events such as all team member meetings and ask me anything sessions.
  • Assist with content development for executive speeches, videos, podcasts, blogs, social media, etc.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Solid writing and editing skills - some peer or manager edits typically needed.
  • Strong listening and interpersonal skills.
  • Organization and program management skills.
  • Ability to link communications plans and activities to business results and the corporate calendar.
  • Solid knowledge and understanding of communications methodologies, tools, and vehicles.
  • Ability to multi-task, managing and prioritizing a variety of projects with tight deadlines, while remaining calm under pressure, with an understanding of the seasonality of the business. 
  • Some prior knowledge and experience in enterprise technology preferred.
  • Ability to learn and follow corporate branding guidelines.
  • Flexible and adaptable to change.
  • Ability to thrive working from home, at the office, or on the go, collaborating with colleagues and stakeholders almost exclusively in a virtual setting.

Qualifications:

  • Must be able to work U.S. Central Time Zone.
  • BA or BS degree
  • 5+ years of experience in corporate communications or agency, journalism, or marketing.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment in support of top-level executives and executive communications peers and colleagues.
  • Strong writing, editing, and presentation skills.
  • Experience with productivity and calendaring tools, such as Smartsheet and M365.
