The role: Internal Communications Adviser
The opportunity
If you excel at crafting compelling internal communications and telling stories that drive employee engagement and connection, we have an exciting opportunity in our team in Sydney.
Working alongside our market-leading legal practice groups, partners and business service professionals, both locally and globally, you will play a critical role in achieving our global law firm’s leading ambition.
In this vital role in our high-performing and supportive communications team, working closely with the Australian Senior Internal Communications Manager, you will:
Seek out stories and create engaging content for our global and local internal communications channels.
Support the Australian Senior Internal Communications Manager with projects campaigns and internal communications events (e.g. town halls). There will also be scope to get involved in global projects.
Support the creation of innovative effective communication strategies and tactics to drive employee engagement, drive local focus areas and embed firm values.
Keep quality high by reviewing and editing content.
Advise stakeholders on best practice, including the most effective channels and messaging for various audiences, and propose initiatives to continuously improve communications impact.
Monitor and share analytics to help measure communications effectiveness and support the team make decisions based on data.
Grow and manage a content calendar on a local level, liaising with global colleagues. Collaborate with other communications team members – internal and external – to ensure alignment.
The team:
Globally connected and locally led, our Communications team is a crucial part of the firm’s success. Our Australian team includes a mix of external and internal communication professionals located in Sydney and Melbourne and is part of a wider comms team that spans the world. The successful candidate will have:
At least 4 years' internal communications experience in a corporate environment or professional services (will consider candidates with less or more experience, provided they meet the required competencies).
Exceptional writing and interpersonal skills.
Ability to juggle multiple priorities at once, and often under tight deadlines.
A proactive, problem-solving and driven mindset.
Up-to-date knowledge of internal communication tools and strategies, including GenAI.
Degree or similar level in a relevant discipline.
Strong ‘team first’ mindset.
