INTECON, LLC is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Communications Analyst to support the DHS Office of Program Accountability and Risk Management (PARM). The role focuses on creating, reviewing, and editing executive-level documents, templates, training materials, and directives that ensure clarity, accuracy, and compliance with DHS standards.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, review, and refresh PARM documentation including directives, SOPs, templates, training materials, briefing content, and executive correspondence.
  • Conduct research to verify and analyze information used in communications and documentation.
  • Perform technical reviews of executive-level documents to ensure consistency, clarity, accuracy, and compliance with DHS style, directives, and plain language standards.
  • Provide recommended edits within two (2) business days of receipt to improve grammar, conciseness, and format.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, team members, and DHS stakeholders to produce high-quality deliverables tailored for executive audiences.
  • Create diagrams, charts, tables, and graphics to support briefings, reports, and other official documentation.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.

Experience: Over 5 years of experience in technical writing, editing, or executive communications supporting federal programs.

Must Have Experience With:

  • Writing and editing executive-level correspondence, reports, and policy documents.
  • Applying plain language standards and technical editing best practices.
  • Producing and reviewing templates, briefing materials, and training guides.
  • Certification in Technical Writing, Communications, or related professional development training.

Preferred Certifications and Training:

Certification in Technical Writing, Communications, or related professional development training.

Proficiency In:

  • Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Teams.
  • SharePoint and content/document management systems.
  • Ability to create charts, graphics, and visual communication materials.

Security Clearance:

Must possess and maintain an active Public Trust clearance.
