Duties & Responsibilities:
The PR & Corporate Communications Manager is responsible for overseeing PPL’s external communications, PR, and brand reputation management. From coordinating with our external PR agency on responsive media inquiries and proactive media pitches to writing press releases and thought leadership content, the manager coordinates every aspect of external communications to promote the PPL brand and build a positive brand reputation as a thought leader.
Develop and execute external communications strategies to promote PPL’s brand reputation as a thought leader in the government healthcare landscape.
Collaborate with external agency team on all media relations activities, including responsive media inquiries, proactive media pitches, and press release development.
Collaborate effectively with executives and the agency on the development of all external communications
Develop a wide range of content to support external communications activities, including but not limited to website copy, social media posts, presentations, blogs, press releases, marketing collateral, and email campaigns.
Monitor and submit for award opportunities and speaking opportunities.
Identify thought leadership topics of interest to our external stakeholders.
Monitor communications dashboards and success metrics.
Required Skills:
Proven experience in a PR role, preferably within the healthcare industry or with a PR agency (minimum 5-7 years’ experience)
Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with the ability to tailor messages for different audiences and channels
Proficiency in using communication tools and platforms, such as intranet systems, email, and digital collaboration tools
Exceptional organizational and project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
High attention to detail and accuracy in all communications and deliverables.
Experience leading and facilitating meetings
Ability to collaborate effectively cross-functionally · Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey PPL’s brand reputation and thought leadership acumen
Ability to work proficiently with the Microsoft Office software, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related field.
Experience: Proven experience in managing internal communications (minimum 5+ years’ experience in a communications role)
Compensation Range: $80,000 - $100,000
