This is a leadership role for an experienced PR professional with a passion for healthcare communications and strategic storytelling. The Public Relations Vice President will drive high-impact programs for clients in healthcare, medtech, pharma, and life sciences while leading and mentoring a talented team. This position combines client management, strategic guidance, and business development responsibilities, offering the opportunity to shape both the practice and the careers of team members. You will collaborate across departments, lead integrated campaigns, and ensure the highest quality of client deliverables in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Accountabilities

  • Lead the healthcare practice and team to achieve strategic growth and market distinction.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, directing high-impact communications and marketing programs that align with their business objectives.
  • Build and nurture long-term client relationships, generating organic revenue and expanding service offerings.
  • Identify and lead new business pitches to attract and secure new clients.
  • Oversee campaign planning and execution across integrated channels, including traditional PR, digital, and social media platforms.
  • Develop strong media relations programs to secure positive coverage for clients.
  • Manage client budgets, profitability, staffing, and resourcing to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Mentor, manage, and develop staff, providing guidance on client management, strategy, and professional growth.
  • Represent the organization and clients at industry events, conferences, and seminars.
  • Promote a high-performance, continuous improvement culture that emphasizes learning and quality.


Requirements
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in communications, ideally with both agency and in-house exposure.
  • Extensive experience leading strategic communications within healthcare, medtech, pharma, or life sciences.
  • Proven track record in new business development, including outreach, proposal creation, and pitching.
  • Skilled in integrated programs spanning editorial, media relations, and digital marketing.
  • Strong strategic thinking, data-driven decision-making, and experience translating insights into actionable campaigns.
  • Experience providing executive-level communications counsel.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, staffing, and operational priorities.
  • Exceptional leadership, mentoring, and team management skills.
  • Excellent judgment, creative problem-solving, and ability to navigate dynamic environments.
  • Experience setting up measurement programs and assessing ROI for communications activities.
