NetBox Labs is seeking a Senior Communications Manager to lead our external communications strategy and establish our PR and analyst relations program from the ground up. Reporting to the Head of Marketing, you'll have the opportunity to shape our communications narrative and build strategic relationships with media and industry analysts that will drive awareness and credibility for NetBox Labs in the enterprise infrastructure market.
You'll be joining a lean, scrappy marketing team, helping us establish NetBox Labs as a thought leader in network infrastructure and automation while building strategic relationships with key media outlets and analyst firms.
Develop and execute comprehensive PR and analyst relations strategies that significantly increase brand and awareness for NetBox Labs globally at both the executive and practitioner levels
Develop and maintain relationships with tier-1 business and enterprise technology media outlets, journalists, and industry publications
Establish and nurture relationships with key industry analysts at firms like Gartner, Forrester, IDC, EMA and other relevant research organizations
Work closely with the Head of Marketing and the NetBox Labs executive team to define and execute on thought leadership positioning.
Create compelling press releases, media pitches, and other PR materials that showcase NetBox Labs' innovation and market leadership
Collaborate with product marketing, product management, and technical teams to translate complex technical concepts into compelling narratives for external audiences
Coordinate analyst briefings, product demos, and strategic positioning sessions
Secure speaking opportunities and media interviews for company executives at industry conferences and events
Monitor media coverage, analyst reports, and industry sentiment to track brand positioning and share of voice
Marketing Leadership to deliver comprehensive communications programs that align with demand generation and pipeline goals
Product Marketing, Product Management, and our Chief Evangelist to ensure consistent messaging and technical accuracy across all external communications
Executive team to align on strategy, messaging, and thought leadership positioning
The Customer Success Sales, and Partner teams to tell customer, partner, and user stories to the market.
External PR agencies and consultant partners as needed to amplify reach and specialized expertise
Skills and Competencies:
Exceptional writing and storytelling abilities with experience creating content for multiple audiences (media, analysts, technical buyers, executives)
Strong strategic thinking and ability to develop long-term communications roadmaps
Excellent relationship-building skills and comfort in engaging and aligning with senior executives, journalists, and industry analysts
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and relationships concurrently
Self-motivated and able to work autonomously and collaborate across a remote and global team environment
Experience using PR and communications measurement tools to track coverage quality, reach, and sentiment
Required Experience:
5-7 years of public relations and analyst relations experience in enterprise technology companies
2+ years of experience working in a fast-paced startup environment
Demonstrated experience building and managing relationships with enterprise technology media and industry analysts
Proven track record of securing high-quality media coverage and positive analyst positioning
Experience working with technical audiences and translating complex concepts for broader markets
Experience developing thought leadership content and executive positioning strategies
Bonus points:
Previous work experience in networking or IT infrastructure space and/or high-growth B2B SaaS companies
