On behalf of our partner in the defence-tech domain, GT is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer who is passionate about secure infrastructure, cloud-native environments, and mission-critical systems.
Our client is a cutting-edge Aerospace and Defense company committed to delivering innovative, secure, and compliant solutions for our customers. They specialize in mission-critical technology services for government and private sector customers, ensuring excellence in aerospace systems design, performance, and compliance.
This role supports a critical aerospace platform with high compliance and security requirements. You'll help build and manage multi-cloud infrastructure across AWS and GCP, including secure Kubernetes environments in both cloud and air-gapped/on-prem installations.
Initially part-time (~20 hours/week), this engagement might grow over time. You’ll play a pivotal role in establishing core DevOps processes, infrastructure as code, and secure system configurations.
Infrastructure Management: Design, deploy, and maintain Kubernetes clusters across AWS EKS, GCP GKE, and Rancher K3s (for on-prem/dark environments).
Helm & CI/CD: Build, manage, and deploy Helm charts; support multi-language build pipelines.
Monitoring & Alerts: Set up Prometheus for monitoring and alerting; define on-call processes and escalation policies.
Secrets & Security: Manage secrets using AWS/GCP tools and HashiCorp Vault; rotate SSL/TLS certificates and implement secure policies via Istio.
Security Operations: Implement threat detection, monitoring, and compliance controls aligned with defense-grade standards.
Cloud & Terraform: Automate infrastructure with Terraform, including IAM role configurations on AWS and GCP.
Multi-Cluster Management: Support multiple Kubernetes clusters with centralized control and streamlined workflows.
Database Setup & Maintenance: Configure and monitor Postgres/RDS and MongoDB databases.
Collaboration: Work closely with backend engineers, ML teams, and security specialists to ensure seamless deployment and scalability.
