Sr. Specialist, Employee Communications (PLS)
The Sr. Specialist, Employee Communications role will be deeply involved in shaping, implementing, and analyzing all PLS division-level employee communications activities, as well as some enterprise-wide employee communications about PLS.
In this role, you will:
Build a solid understanding of the business to determine how and where internal comms can add value.
Work with internal stakeholders across the business to identify and develop communications content and advise on the best communications approach to achieve results.
Work with the employee communications manager and team lead to develop and implement effective employee communications plans.
Produce compelling content to use in a wide variety of formats (written, video, graphics, PowerPoint slides for events etc.), and work with other specialists and functions as e.g. design, video production, AV etc.
Ensure all content is checked for accuracy and signed off before publication.
Publish and distribute content via various channels such as SharePoint, email, and Slack.
Own the logistics and support event development for PLS division-wide events such as town halls, ‘ask me anything’ and D+ calls.
Collect and analyze data. Assess the impact of internal communications activity and produce detailed reports for the Employee Communications team and PLS leaders.
Help to coordinate employee communications activities across EG through representing the PLS Employee Communications team in meetings and updating the EG Project Tracker.
Represent divisional communications on EG initiatives (as appropriate). Collaborate with colleagues to develop tailored amplification plans.
Update and maintain PLS division-wide communications channels such as the PLS SharePoint site, PLS Slack channel, and manage a small number of relevant email distribution lists.
Other projects as assigned.
Experience and Qualifications:
At least two years’ experience in a communications environment within a global team that spans countries and time zones.
Confident working with colleagues at all levels across an organization.
Willing team player capable of cross-functional collaboration, and able to work independently and take the initiative.
Excellent written and oral communication skills - you can spot a typo at a hundred paces when proofing your team mates’ work.
Strong presentation and facilitation skills, equally comfortable presenting in-person and to remote audiences.
Accomplished at producing and adapting content for different audiences and communications channels.
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks/projects concurrently, often to tight deadlines.
Results-focused, with strong analytical and reporting skills and the motivation to drive for improvements.
Willingness to jump in on an array of projects; creative, eager to learn new skills, best practices and build your business knowledge
Flexible, adaptable and resilient, able to react quickly to changing requirements and new challenges.
Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
