What if your career could have a lasting impact on you, and the World?
At EY we believe that whoever you are, your uniqueness helps us stand apart.
We bring together extraordinary people like you to build a better working world.
What’s in it for you?
EY’s Infrastructure Advisory team is a leading advisor in telecommunications within the International Development and Government sectors focused on improving the quality, security and scalability of telecommunications to improve regional stability and Australia trade and investment opportunities.
By joining our Infrastructure Advisory team as Telecommunications Policy and Regulatory Specialist, you’ll play an important leadership role working with clients from all levels of government and within the private sector on projects that serve our communities and have meaningful impacts on our society. Our projects span strategic planning and business case development, research and analysis, and policy and regulatory development within terrestrial fibre and wireless domains, satellites and submarine fibre cables.
We are expanding our telecommunications team to support increased project workloads under new contracts with key infrastructure and connectivity programs, both domestically and abroad.
We are seeking a Telecommunications Policy and Regulation Specialist with 7 to 10 years of experience across a broad mix of research, policy, economic analysis and regulation in the telecommunications sector. This would ideally include matters relating to international connectivity, International IP Transit, Internet Exchange Points and operator access to infrastructure and wholesale services. A broad technical understanding of current and evolving technologies and their strategic impact is essential.
A focus on planning and strategy, policy development, regulatory considerations, network economics, and market strategy is also a must, instead of a focus on engineering planning and design. Knowledge of the telecommunications sector in the Indo-Pacific region is an advantage.
Ideal candidates will have gained this experience working in a telecoms operator, service provider, technology company, competition authority, policy or regulatory agency, or in a policy research capacity. The role offers an opportunity for experts in their field to transition into general consulting with a focus on telecommunications and enabling technologies.
