The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
 

As a Communications Manager, IT , you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies to support the IT organization and its initiatives.

  • Serve as the primary communications advisor to the Chief Information & Digital Officer, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.

  • Create and manage content for various communication channels, including town hall meetings, intranet, newsletters, emails videos and internal social media.

  • Collaborate with IT leadership and project teams to develop messaging and materials that effectively communicate complex technical information to diverse audiences.

  • Collaborate with Brand & Communications team to leverage digital communications tool and platforms, share best practices and align on key initiatives that impact our businesses and/or functions.

  • Manage internal communications campaigns to enhance employee engagement and promote IT department achievements.

  • Monitor and analyze communication metrics to assess the effectiveness of communication strategies and make data-driven improvements.

  • Provide crisis communication support for IT-related incidents, ensuring clear and consistent messaging to stakeholders.

  • Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.

Your Skills and Expertise 
 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)

  • Eight (8) years experience in Corporate Communications, Public Relations, or PR/Marketing, Agency account leadership, in a private, public, government or military environment

  • Experience with IT communications and change management for a globally distributed team

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Degree in communications, marketing, or PR/journalism/media from an accredited institution

  • Proven communications skills in strategy, planning, speaker support, key message development, channel and content planning, and outcome-based measurement; ability to connect with senior leadership

  • `Strong collaboration skills and experience with a highly matrixed, global organization

  • Exceptional writing, editing, narrative development, and key message delivery

  • Modern communications measurement, data analysis and synthesis, critical thinking, and creative problem solving

  • Intellectual curiosity, creativity, growth mindset, managing through change, ambiguity, empathy, and systems
