About This Role

This Corporate Communications Manager role is primarily focused on Internal Communications where you will lead the development and execution of the internal communications strategy for our organization to ensure operational efficiency and support thought leadership. You will work closely with senior leaders and key stakeholders to ensure that all internal communication is clear, consistent, and aligned with the company’s goals and values. You will lead a team of internal communications specialists both internally and in the agency to create and deliver compelling content that engages employees and strengthens the company’s culture.

This role also provides some external communications support for KGS social media and website needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation of the internal communications strategy for the organization, including key messaging, communication channels, and tactics

  • Manage a team of internal communications specialists, providing guidance and feedback to ensure all internal communication is clear, consistent, and aligned with the company’s goals and values

  • Create and deliver internal communications content, including email updates, newsletters, intranet content, videos, and presentations

  • Work with key stakeholders across the organization to ensure that all internal communication is aligned with business objectives and supports the company’s culture and values

  • Monitor and measure the effectiveness of internal communications, and make recommendations for improvement based on feedback and data analysis

  • Develop and maintain a content calendar to ensure that internal communications are timely and relevant

  • Identify opportunities to promote employee engagement and help foster a positive company culture

  • Manage crisis communications in partnership with communications leadership to ensure all employees are informed and up-to-date

  • Manage and maintain the company’s internal communication tools, ensuring they are up-to-date, user-friendly, and aligned with the company’s goals and values

  • Support internal events and other initiatives to promote employee engagement and strengthen the company culture

  • Experience managing and maintaining internal communication tools is a plus (internal email software, intranet, etc.)

  • Ability to create clear communication and strong presentation skills for internal and external stakeholders; 

  • Collaborate with HR to ensuring effective communication cascades on key messages up, down and across the organization

  • Responsible for identifying and developing engaging and effective storytelling and brand building opportunities for KGS

  • Align goals and messages by working alongside the leadership team, managers, and employees within all areas of the business

  • Participate in the communication of crises that affect corporate perception and reputation (such as product quality issues)

  • Guides the design and production of materials to ensure design consistency and integrity and to support brand positioning

Basic Qualifications  

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • 10+ years of experience as a Corporate Communications Manager

  • 7+ years of experience in internal communications, corporate communications, or related field

  • OR

  • Master’s Degree

  • 7+ years of experience as a Corporate Communications Manager

  • 5+ years of experience in internal communications, corporate communications, or related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written

  • Attention to detail for consistency and accuracy of information

  • Strong project management skills

  • Experience with content creation and delivery (i.e. email, newsletters, intranet content, videos, and presentations)

  • Team player with ability to work as part of a broader team or independently

  • Ability to work collaboratively with key stakeholders across the organization

  • Ability to manage complex projects with minimal supervision

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Compensation and Benefits

The base salary range for this role is $117,300.00  –  $138,000.00. Individuals may also be eligible for an annual performance bonus based on both individual and company’s performance. The final compensation for this position will be set based on the individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience as it relates to the job requirements.
