Job Title: Digital Communications Manager – Loom Strategy Centre
Location: Remote (based in Europe)
Work rate: 100%
Reports to: Programmes and Operations Lead

About Loom Strategy Centre:
Loom is a non-profit, pop-up strategy centre established in 2025, designed for the big challenges facing decision-makers today – economy, environment, and national security. We weave together what others keep apart, working with thinkers, leaders, and practitioners from across industry, international relations, defence, trade, finance, environmental protection, and community engagement. We engage people on their values – that’s how we build connections across the political spectrum. We have no siloed focus and aren’t attached to old approaches. All our projects craft solutions that can work in the real world. We use research, strategic communication and convenings to develop these ideas and support leaders to adopt them.

Loom operates along four guiding principles:

  • Political realism: We engage leaders based on their values, not ours.
  • Fresh thinking: We look for new yet viable ideas.
  • Integrated approach: We bring together diverse interests and expertise.
  • Agile and responsive: We’re lean, adaptable, and action-oriented.

Loom is hosted by Our Common Home (OCH), a Swiss-based NGO, and is finalising its establishment as an independent Swiss foundation. We operate under a fully remote, agile “pop-up” model with a core team mostly in Europe and a group of Global Advisors worldwide.

This role:
We are seeking a Digital Communications Manager to lead the development and implementation of Loom’s communications strategy. This role combines strategic thinking and hands-on execution, overseeing all Loom public communications with a heavy focus on digital channels and engagement with conservative and anti-establishment audiences.

About you:
You are a dynamic, experienced communications professional with an interest in politics and geopolitics, who thrives in start-up environments and is motivated by impact. You unpack polarized debates, listen to those challenging the status quo, and find ways to bridge diverging views across the political spectrum. You value teamwork, anticipate needs, and have a can-do, problem-solving attitude.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy and planning:

  • Design and execute a communications strategy focused on digital channels (particularly YouTube and TikTok) and engagement with conservative and anti-establishment audiences.
  • Ensure brand consistency and message alignment across all digital touchpoints.
  • Monitor digital trends and best practices to keep our online presence effective.
  • Manage editorial calendars and content workflows.
  • Provide input into progress reports and other documents.

Content development:

  • Produce and direct high-quality digital content (copy, graphics, video, etc.) for website and social media.
  • Optimize content for SEO and accessibility.
  • Execute communications around key events and milestones.
  • Manage vendors or freelancers as needed.

Web and social media engagement:

  • Manage and grow Loom’s social media presence (LinkedIn, X/Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc.).
  • Oversee website content, updates, analytics, and user experience.
  • Use analytics tools to monitor and refine audience engagement strategies.

Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in public communications with proven social media growth.
  • Experience with a news agency, video-based social platform, or communications agency highly desirable.
  • Track record of impact across varied social media and communication formats (video reels, podcasts, interviews).
  • Experience working with conservative and anti-establishment audiences and platforms is an asset.
  • Proficiency in CMS, social media tools, and analytics platforms. Adobe Creative Suite or Canva a plus.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and external providers.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
  • Proficiency in English; another European language desirable.
  • Degree in communications, marketing, or related field desirable.
  • We care most about your character and values; mindset and experience matter most.

What we offer:

  • The opportunity to be part of forging a new entity.
  • A collaborative, intellectually stimulating environment with exposure to experts across climate, defense, and economic fields.
  • A competitive salary.
  • Remote-first working conditions and good work-life balance.
  • A values-driven culture.
  • Initial 12-month fixed-term contract with potential for a longer-term role.
