Summary 

Enliven is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Corporate Communications to serve as the strategic and creative hub for all corporate communications. Reporting to the CFO, this individual will partner closely with senior leadership to craft and deliver compelling, accurate, and aligned messaging across investors, media, and the broader public. This role will own the creation, curation, and dissemination of a wide range of materials — including investor decks, press releases, corporate presentations, business reports, website content, and media articles — ensuring a flawless final product that strengthens Enliven’s reputation and brand.


The Director will work proactively to elevate Enliven’s visibility and share of voice with respect to the broader public, investors, patients and doctors. This position requires a keen ability to translate complex scientific and clinical concepts into accessible narratives that resonate across scientific, financial, and public audiences. They will also support the CFO with investor relations through tracking investor engagement, shareholder activity analyst sentiment and competitive intelligence. As a visible and highly collaborative leader in a small but dynamic biotech, the Director will be instrumental in shaping our corporate story, aligning internal stakeholders, and ensuring communications are strategically coordinated, compliant, and impactful.


Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for creating, curating, and disseminating media and investor content such as presentations, website content including engaging graphics and design, byline articles, business reports such as 10K, and other public release materials
  • Serve as primary strategic and creative business partner to CFO on all corporate communications matters, providing expert guidance and support to align strategies with overall business objectives
  • Develop and lead initiatives to promote and safeguard Enliven’s brand and reputation, managing media relations 
  • Be the strategic hub for well-coordinated and organized communications across multiple internal groups. Work collaboratively with colleagues across the organization to ensure alignment and visibility of communications initiatives across functions
  • Proactively pitch story ideas and secure media placements in relevant publications, both print and digital
  • Be a top organizer for the company including maintaining a strong calendar of events, publications, key timeline dates for material/content creation, announcements, and key social media dates
  • Serve as the final stop for materials and content, with a strong ability to review, edit, and finalize in order to have a flawless final product
  • Collaborate and learn from internal stakeholders to understand key criteria (scientific, clinical/medical, financial) needed to align communications and ensure content is sound and accurate
  • Assist with investor materials and create and coordinate IR communications
  • Closely follow Enliven’s clinical and financial progress to shape our corporate narrative, manage investor and media relations, and ensure clear, consistent, and compliant messaging about the company’s mission, science, development, and financial      outlook
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent branding and messaging across all external communications
  • Approach PR writing and content creation with a desire for perfection and engaging materials that accurately align with clinical milestones etc.
Requirements
  • An undergraduate degree, coupled with an MBA or advanced science degree (MS, MD, PharmD or PhD). Experience, however, will be prioritized over any academic credentials
  • 10+ years in a corporate communications role in biotech/pharma, with 4+ years’ experience managing PR or communications in a publicly traded biotech/pharma company
  • Comprehensive understanding of the biotech industry, ideally with specific depth in drug development and commercial launch for oncology products
  • Experience refining PR strategy for clinical stage assets and developing engaging and accurate media content for reflect progress
  • Expertise in hands-on creation of engaging digital, traditional media content and is a standout creator of slides and graphics
  • Effective prior interface as company representative to patient advocacy groups, payers/providers, and investors
  • Highly organized with both their work product and key timelines and PR dates
  • Meticulous attention to detail that is shown by flawless final work product
  • Ability to understand and articulate complex scientific/clinical and scientific data to external communities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language
  • Strong interpersonal skills and superior cross-functional team player with demonstrated success in establishing working relationships within a diverse population. Ability to address and resolve conflicts, utilizing mature problem-solving skills and personal authenticity
  • Creative approach to communications with significant depth of expertise in traditional and digital media, understanding of business strategies and executive priorities, experience with internal communications
  • Highly organized to build and retain in-depth knowledge of a company, business strategies & objectives to develop innovative concepts to promote new ideas
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and deliver results within tight deadlines



The expected salary range for this position is $200,000 - $250,000. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.
