Role Summary
Drake International is seeking an exceptional communicator, strategist, and culture-builder to lead our Executive and Internal Communications function. This is a pivotal role during a transformative time as we align globally on a new 3–5 year strategy and evolve from a collection of business units into a connected, collaborative enterprise.
You’ll be responsible for shaping the way more than 1,000 employees across the globe experience our strategy, values, and culture—building belief in our future while honoring our legacy. This is a rare opportunity to build our internal communications infrastructure from the ground up, uniting regional voices and strengthening alignment across the organization.
Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership
- Design and execute a global internal communications strategy that aligns with Drake’s strategic goals and cultural evolution.
- Develop a multi-year narrative that inspires belief in our transformation journey and celebrates our legacy.
Executive & Leadership Communications
- Serve as a trusted partner to the CEO and Global Leadership Team, crafting internal messaging, speeches, and presentations that resonate.
- Provide tailored communications support to regional and business line leaders to ensure alignment and impact.
Channel Creation & Infrastructure
- Build foundational internal communications platforms, rhythms, and processes to enable timely and consistent messaging across the enterprise.
- Drive adoption of modern, digital-first communication formats suited for a diverse, global workforce.
Collaboration & Organizational Alignment
- Collaborate cross-functionally with regional, business line, and corporate teams to ensure message consistency and clarity.
- Champion a unified enterprise narrative while honoring the distinct value each business unit brings.
HR Program Support
- Partner with HR to develop and deliver communications that support talent initiatives, policy changes, DEI efforts, and cultural transformation.
- Translate HR strategies into engaging, people-first communications that foster understanding and participation.
Change & Culture Communications
- Lead internal communication strategies for major transformation and change management initiatives.
- Drive culture-building efforts that promote connection, inclusion, and optimism across regions.
Resource Planning & Team Design
- Begin as a hands-on strategic leader and assess future resourcing needs—including team structure, technology, agency support, and budget.
- Build the case for investments to scale the internal communications function globally.

Qualifications & Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in internal and executive communications within large, matrixed, global organizations—preferably during periods of transformation.
- Proven ability to build internal communications strategies, systems, and content frameworks from the ground up.
- Expertise in change management, storytelling, cultural transformation, and executive influence.
- Outstanding writing, editing, and presentation skills with a deep understanding of tone, audience, and impact.
- Skilled in using digital communications platforms, employee engagement tools, and analytics for measurement.
- Empathetic, resourceful, collaborative, and comfortable operating in complex, fast-paced environments.
