Develops and executes initiates that elevate brand credibility, drive adoption of innovation and inform commercial strategy through high-impact education and thought leadership programs
KOL Strategy and Engagement
•Identify, build and maintain relationships with leading global experts and key opinion leaders (KOLs) in food microbiology, immunodiagnostics, quality assurance and food safety regulations across academia, industry and regulatory agencies
•Organize and facilitate KOL advisory boards, roundtables and insight-gathering activities to inform R&D, services, and product positioning
•Negotiate and manage contracts with external partners to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes
•Collaborate with regional marketing teams to tailor content and outreach strategies, ensuring relevancy and impact across prioritized markets
Scientific Events Strategy
•Lead planning and execution of Neogen’s presence at food safety conferences and industry events (GFSI, IAFP, AOAC, Food Safety Summit, etc)
•Coordinate abstract submissions, scientific posters, speaker sessions and symposia to showcase data and case studies, aligned to Neogen brand strategy and overarching priority messaging
•Drive messaging across scientific platforms, collaborating with with internal Global Marketing and Scientific Affairs / Government Relations teams
Customer Workshops and Scientific Education
•Lead the creation of educational resources such as white papers, webinars, technical workshops and conference presentations, in partnership with our Customer Education, Portfolio and Technical Services teams
•Represent the company at global events and forums, sharing insights on industry trends, challenges and innovations
•Create playbook for regional teams to replicate customer workshops to expand the reach of our scientific programs globally
Consulting and Strategic Services
•Lead scoping and delivery of scientific consulting services including workflow optimization, method selection and regulatory support
•Gather and synthesize customer feedback to inform service development and innovation roadmaps
Primary qualifications
•Advanced degree (MS, PhD, DVM or equivalent) in Food Microbiology, Food Science, Public Health or a related field
•8+ years of experience in customer education, scientific marketing, technical services, or similar roles in the food safety or life sciences industries
•Deep understanding of food safety diagnostics (PCR, ELISA, culture methods) and regulatory frameworks (FDA, USDA, ISO, FSMA)
•Proven success managing KOL relationships and scientific programming
•Strong communication skills and the ability to translate complex science into actionable insights
•Multi-lingual or global experience is a plus
