Greenstone Equity Partners is expanding across Asia and we are hiring an Investor Relations professional focused on Korea. This is a high-impact, front-office fund placement role responsible for distributing global private market funds to Korean institutional and professional investors.
You will act as Greenstone’s local Korea coverage lead, developing relationships with key LPs and supporting fundraising execution for private equity, private credit, real assets, infrastructure, and other alternative strategies.
🌏 Key Responsibilities
Fund Placement & Sales
- Lead placement and distribution of assigned private market funds across Korea.
- Execute fundraising campaigns and achieve placement targets.
- Build Korea-specific sales strategies with Fund Managers and internal teams.
- Identify relevant Korean LPs—including pensions, mutual aid associations, insurers, securities firms, gatekeepers, CIO offices, and family offices—and match them to appropriate products.
- Deliver compelling fund pitches tailored to Korean investor needs.
- Lead investor meetings, roadshows, and FM discussions across Korea.
- Manage a structured fundraising pipeline: sourcing, pitching, follow-ups, documentation, and closing.
- Support investor DDQs, due diligence, and investment committee workflows.
- Maintain CRM accuracy and pipeline updates for senior leadership.
Investor Coverage & Intelligence
- Develop deep insights into Korea’s LP ecosystem, regulatory context, allocation frameworks, and decision-makers.
- Source new Korean investor relationships across institutions and family offices.
- Track investor preferences, allocation priorities, and market sentiment in CRM.
Product Fit & Market Feedback
- Provide the mandate sourcing team with feedback on which products fit Korean investor appetite.
- Participate in studies on market positioning for alternative strategies in Korea.
Compliance
- Adhere to Korean private placement rules and Greenstone’s internal compliance requirements.
- Maintain documentation standards and complete compliance training.
🎯 The Right Candidate
Essential
- Direct experience selling funds or financial products to Korean institutional investors
(pensions, mutual aid associations, insurers, securities firms, gatekeepers, family offices).
- Strong understanding of Korea’s allocator ecosystem and investment decision-making processes.
- Experience in institutional sales, fund placement, capital raising, or investor relations.
- Fluency in Korean and strong business English.
- Strong commercial mindset, relationship capability, and pipeline management discipline.
