About the Role: We are looking for a self-directed Investor Relations Specialist who can own investor onboarding and follow-up workflows while also supporting deal diligence, deck creation, and light finance and back-office operations. This is a high-autonomy role for someone who thrives in ambiguity, communicates clearly with high-value investors, and can proactively move projects forward without heavy management.

Key Responsibilities:

Investor Onboarding and IR Follow-ups

  • Own the post-commitment onboarding workflow end-to-end using AVESTOR.
  • Proactively follow up with investors to ensure timely completion of steps, including accreditation verification and funding status.
  • Maintain strong investor communication, provide timely updates, and close “where’s the money?” loops.
  • Track investor status in a clean, organized pipeline and keep the partners informed.

Investor Communications and Relationship Support

  • Draft and send professional investor emails and updates, coordinating with partners when needed.
  • Support ongoing investor relations across the investor base, responding quickly and accurately.
  • Help maintain organized records of investor communications, documents, and notes.

Sponsor and Deal Diligence Support

  • Assist with sponsor diligence and deal evaluation support for multifamily opportunities.
  • Review pro formas and key assumptions, sanity-check underwriting, and validate comps at a basic level.
  • Help partners by assembling diligence materials and summarizing findings clearly and credibly.

Decks and Collateral Creation

  • Build and update investor decks, fund materials, and supporting collateral with minimal instruction.
  • Improve quality and speed of deliverables versus a task-only deck builder.
  • Maintain a consistent, polished presentation standard.

Light Accounting and Back-Office Operations

  • Support backend ops across the fund and related businesses (organization, tracking, documentation).
  • Assist with light accounting support such as reconciliation prep, invoice organization, and coordination with bookkeepers or accountants.
  • Create and maintain simple operating dashboards and trackers as needed.

Tools and Systems

  • AVESTOR (investor onboarding and fund platform)
  • Presentation tools (PowerPoint, Google Slides, or similar)
  • Spreadsheets (Google Sheets or Excel)
  • CRM or tracker (simple pipeline tracking is fine - Go High Level)

Desired Experience & Qualification

Required Qualifications

  • Investor Relations & Onboarding:
    • 2+ years of experience with investor onboarding, client success, operations, investor relations support or any similar role.
    • Strong spoken and written English, comfortable communicating with high-net-worth investors.
    • Familiarity with any investor portals (like AVESTOR)
    • Previous experience using GoHighLevel CRM or any CRM tool.
  • Technical Finance Background: Experience in financial analysis, with a proven ability to review and confirm the validity of sponsor-provided numbers.
  • Presentation Skills: Prior experience building investor decks or financial presentations.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with real estate private equity funds and operations.
  • Critical Thinking & Independence:
    • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills (beyond an "executional" role).
    • Proven ability to operate independently, prioritize work, and follow through without micromanagement, acting as a "go-between" for the founders.
  • Operational & Detail Focus:
    • Proficiency with various technological tools and systems to ensure operational efficiency.
    • Strong attention to detail and comfort handling sensitive investor information.
    • Comfortable working across IR, operations, and light finance support in a fast-moving environment.

Working Style and Expectations

  • High autonomy, proactive communication, and strong ownership mindset.
  • Ability to work directly with partners and represent the firm professionally to investors.
  • Clear weekly priorities, consistent follow-through, and organized documentation.

Highly Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic underwriting exposure: pro forma review, comps research, and assumption checks.
  • Prior support across multiple businesses or entrepreneurial environments.
