Our mission is to revolutionize the way we read and interact with eBooks, audiobooks, and articles by building a platform that allows readers to obtain, organize, read, share, and derive value from content—whether they are reading to learn, for work, or for pleasure. 

We are seeking a self-starting, ambitious Marketing and Communications Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating engaging content, managing marketing campaigns, fostering our community, and collaborating with partners to amplify our reach. You will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our marketing strategy targeting our diverse client base, including readers and schools. 

 

Summary: 

The Marketing and Communications Manager is a highly autonomous role that will work closely with the CEO and CTO to create and implement marketing strategies that drive growth and engagement across all channels. You will be responsible for developing and executing marketing campaigns, creating compelling content, managing community engagement, and building partnerships to expand our reach. You should be passionate about reading and have a talent for crafting messages that resonate with diverse audiences. 

Responsibilities: 

Content Creation:  
  • Create video tutorials and guides using OBS Studio or other software to help users understand and utilize our features. 
  • Develop document-based tutorials that clearly explain how to use our platform. 
  • Write, edit, and create blog posts on topics relevant to the second brain market. 
  • Assist with creating and editing technical documentation. 
  • Develop video scripts to be provided to agencies or influencers. 
Marketing Campaigns:  
  • Launch, manage, and report on measurable marketing campaigns targeting our key client segments (readers, businesses, schools). 
  • Work with partners to create and launch co-marketing campaigns. 
  • Write and edit PR articles for release to various media outlets. 
  • Provide input to help craft and execute comprehensive marketing strategies. 

Community and Partnerships: 
  • Manage outreach and onboarding for all influencer-based campaigns. 
  • Manage and grow our community across all relevant channels. 
  • Collaborate with partners to expand our reach, focusing on power readers, publishers and schools. 


Requirements

Skills and Experience: 

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in marketing, communications, or related fields. 
  • Proven experience creating video tutorials and guides. 
  • Excellent writing and editing skills. 
  • Experience managing influencer campaigns and partnerships. 
  • Familiarity with marketing analytics tools and ability to report on campaign performance. 
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms and community management. 
  • Experience with PR and media outreach. 
  • Ability to create engaging content that resonates with target audiences. 
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills. 
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills. 
  • Experience in developing and executing marketing strategies targeting multiple client segments.

  • Experience in the eBook or publishing industry. 
  • Established network in the Caribbean market, particularly with publishers, schools, or authors. 
  • Experience with knowledge management tools/ educational technology such as Obsidian, Notion and others  
  • Knowledge of second brain methodologies and communities. 
  • Passion for reading and a deep understanding of the e-reading landscape. 
  • Multi-lingual or speaks multiple languages.
