Phoenix Bioinformatics (Phoenix) is a ten-year old nonprofit that develops essential digital research resources for researchers. We were initially founded to support TAIR (The Aribidopsis Information Resource) and have since onboarded MorphoBank. Phoenix is a small team of mission-driven professionals working across operations, sales, science, and technology, Like many small teams, multiple folks contribute to our communications (scientific articles, technical feature updates, community newsletters); however, we could use additional assistance with

communications. Phoenix Bioinformatics is seeking a marketing and communications contractor to support the following tasks:

1. Creation of Monthly content calendar

2. Twice-a-week LinkedIn and BlueSky posts

3. Monthly blog posts

4. Quarterly Phoenix newsletter

5. As needed activity on substack and Listserv (no more than once quarterly)

6. Assistance with Google responsive search ads (no more than once quarterly) focused on awareness of Phoenix Bioinformatics and our available resources (e.g. TAIR)

7. Assistance in features for TAIR and Morphobank in appropriate publications (e.g. Katina magazine) ( no more than once quarterly)

8. Weekly communications impact statistics (e.g. number of additional newsletter subscribers, social media engagements)

Audience for communications is focused on the academic librarian community, specifically at institutions with biological science departments.

Contract will be for a renewable three-month period of performance. Potential contractors are

requested to provide a statement of qualifications (e.g. c.v., portfolio, etc) and quote for services
