Senior Communications Analyst – Executive Level Federal Client

SUMMARY:

Concourse is seeking a senior-level Communications Analyst to support a Federal Client with the development, maintenance, review, and periodic refresh of documentation for executive-level communications. This position will be part of a cross-functional team supporting different aspects of a larger program. Successful performance requires excellent professional writing and editing skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise, and accurate documents using plain language standards, and a proficiency in determining the appropriate writing style. Performance also requires the ability to effectively collaborate with others, including subject matter experts, team members, and Government stakeholders; strong organizational skills; and a high level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy and consistency in deliverables. The Sr. Communications Analyst shall ensure that the necessary research to gather, verify, and analyze information is conducted. You'll manage daily project communications, documentation, and milestone tracking-helping ensure seamless coordination and timely delivery of critical tasks to the government.

  • Must exhibit strong analytical/critical thinking skills, including experience with project and programmatic level communications
  • Experience executing quality control on documents produced using MS Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, Visio)
  • Solving problems using a detailed and well-ordered approach
  • Work without direct supervision and independently with broad guidelines
  • Ability to assemble, correlate, and analyze facts, to creatively conceptualize and implement customized solutions to problems, and to prepare concise summaries
  • Ability to manage and meet deadlines, and produce quality work

POTENTIAL TASKS:

The Communications Analyst shall perform technical reviews of executive-level documentation to ensure consistency with Department directives, format, grammar, syntax, audience, and style. The reviews are expected to result in recommended edits to the Government.

Technical reviews and edits of Executive-level correspondence are due within no more than two (2) business days from receipt, to improve the clarity, conciseness, and format of executive-level documentation. The development of new documentation or review and recommended edits of existing draft documentation includes, but is not limited to:

  • Templates
  • Training and other informational materials
  • Diagrams, charts, tables, lists, and other graphics
  • Executive Briefing materials
  • Directives, instructions, standard operating procedures, guidebooks, and other reference material
  • Reports, white papers, and similar documents; and
  • Memoranda and other executive correspondence.

The Sr. Communications Analyst may also help support the production of documents and communications by other team members and may have some responsibilities for the oversight and monitoring of team members.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in public policy, English, political science, or other related studies.
  • This position is at the Senior level. Applicants should have 10 years of experience producing work products similar in nature to the above-mentioned for the Federal government, either as a contractor or Federal staff.
  • This position is at the Senior level. Applicants should be able to demonstrate experience in a context where they had leadership responsibilities.
  • Proficiency with MS Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, Visio), Adobe Pro.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Applicants with a PMP will be given preference.
  • Applicants with a Master’s degree in public policy, English, political science, or other related studies are preferred.
  • Applicants with related experience for Departments such as Homeland Security, Justice, and/or Defense may also be given preference.

OTHER:

  1. Must hold a U.S. Citizenship
  2. Applicants local to the Washington, DC National Capital Region will be given preference
